Hi guys
Yesterday, we were in quebec, looking at places to live. And our little car just lost its life. We got sold this car 2 months ago, second hand, and the dealer said it passed inspections. what he didnt bother to tell us was that it was a death trap. the whole framework was rusted and yesterday, it came apart from the car! It happened when we were stopped, on a side road... but had it decided to kick out on us just minutes before, we woulda been on the highway when it happened... no doubt slammed into a neighbouring semi truck and subsequently killed instantly. I ALWAYS invoke the power and protection of God,our guardian angels, and the archangels, in that order, whenever we go on a road trip. I'm thinking they came through for us, cause we were really really close to having been killed. 5 minutes earlier or later and boom.... no more bim or pete.

Im shaken by it and so incredibly grateful.....

Angel

hugs
bim

Thanks droolie.

Bob,
I was lucky enough to remain migraine free for a day and a half of our 2 day trip. Mig hit again an hr or 2 after car broke... wonder if there is a connection?

It was scary anyway!
Bim

glad that everyone's ok, Bim.

About 5 years ago, my parents gave me a hand-me down car...From the day I got it, it was nothing but troublw. I'd started to replace almost everything under the hood... when it decided to cut out on a freeway. Managed to pull off the road, got a jump from someone else, and it was fine again for 2 days.

That's when it went up on ebay, with all disclaimers given. I figured if I made 20cents on the thing, it was better than paying $100 to have it hauled away. I wound up with a LOT more than I had ever thought it would have sold for...

That's when I bought my used mazda 626, which only relatively recently left us... and was still going strong... had things not happened the way they did, I'd still be driving that car today.

Hi jamie,

Do you mean you auctioned it off and left it on the side of the road for the new owner to pickup?

Bim,

My mama always said God watches out for fools, widows and orphans. Hmm... I fit 2 out of 3. Matt is still very much alive. You fit 1, right?

She also said to swallow a live toad for breakfast, and nothing worse can happen to you all day. I'd say your car falling apart was y'all's live toad for the rest of y'all's lives! "Dayumm!"

You are SO right! God and His angels were watching over you and Pete! Many thanks to Him for y'all's safety! Whew!

So, Jamie,

Did the buyer come get the car? You've got my curiosity up. I've been trying to list a set of historcal reference books on ebay, with NO success. HELP!

Y'all sleep well. Zzzz'z

PS Bim,

I had a great aunt in Ohio - Viola. She was married to G. Uncle Alfred. BUT, we called them, get this: Aunt Pete and Uncle Bim.

Now, what are the odds?

Hair Raising That sounds scary.

But, the good thing is that it happened when it did (in relative safety, thank God) and it's definitely not a good thing to think about what might have happened!

Hope you had a good trip otherwise, mig notwithstanding, and that you found some nice homes to look at. Househunting is such fun!

cheers
