Hi yall Been awhile since I have posted anything, ss Things have been very crazy and difficult around here. My family needs thoughts and prayers for several reasons.

First both my and TJ's migraines have been awful. Poor lil guy has been having more and more, and the severity is worse. He will lay in bed screaming and crying in pain then vomit repeatedly. Think its time for a preventative. His Maxalt helps some though.

My health hasnt been well. besides migraines 2-3 times a week most weeks,i have Severe fatigue, High iron levels and low Vit. D levels. Also having bad abdominal pain which the drs havnt figured out yet. I think its side effects from my preventative meds. (gabapentin and depakote)

Third we have been having very bad problems with our Aspergers son. his behaviors escalated to a point that I had to call the cops on him, he was hitting, threatning to kill family memebers in very graphic ways etc. We ended up having to put him in a program for troubled kids for 2 weeks. He still is very verbally abusive but at least he isnt choking tj or hitting me.

Its hard hearing some of the things he says to me on a daily basis. Dad cracks down on him and lets him know in nno uncertain terms that we wont tolerate that behavior, but with dad working 2 jobs, he isnt around alot so I bear the brunt of it all. The child is about as big as I am so it gets pretty scary if the older 2 boys arent around when he goes off. I never know what he may end up doing.

Finally, my sister needs prayers. She may have cancer. We dont know for sure yet, they have done a biopsy of the uterus and will be removing the tumor on her overies on the 8th, possibly more than that depending on biopsy results. This is the sister that Chris and TJ go work for during school breaks and summer vacation.

anyway thanks for listening to all my complaints yall

I'm so sorry to hear you have all of this going on - and with not feeling well on top of it all. I really feel for you.

I'm sorry to hear of your children too. I'm sure it must be very difficult at times, if not all the time!! Sounds like you are doing all you can, which is all we can do.

I'm glad to see you!!! I'll be thinking of you and the rest of your family.

I hope everything goes ok with your sister and that there is no cancer found. Sounds like you guys are due for some good news!!

Tawsha,

I'm so sorry for you and your family! Each of those problems is enough on its own! It's not fair that you're dealing with them all at once!!!!

Is there any other support you can access for your son in your home? I know here in PA we have Therapeutic Staff Support people who can shadow kids in their home or schools. I know that's helpful for families of kids with aggression issues. At least you'd have a helping hand to keep you all physically safe...

Sending out many, many prayers for all of you.

AWWWWWWW, Group Hug Tawsha Group Hug !

I'm so sorry everything seems to be going less than spiffily in your corner o' the planet.

Prayers and huge hugs for all of you.

I do know that too much iron can cause abdominal pain, if that helps. I've read it when I started iron for anemia, and I just looked it up again to double check. I would think that the doctors should have an idea that high levels of iron can do this, and that they'd explore that option with you. But then, I think a lot. Smiler

aw ty yall

Jenny, the place we had him in after he came home had a therapist coming to our house half the time and us going there to meet with her and another specialest half the time twice a week. He was fighting it so much it ended up being worse than ever. Just one more thing to butt heads over. He hated it and wouldnt comply,so it was just a waste of all of our time. you can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink if you know what I mean. He is in a socialskills group in school, but again not getting anything out of it.

Droolie tyty for the hugs and prayers. I didnt know too much iron would cause abdominal pain. You would think the doc would know that, but again its keiser drs so... lol. I took 3 blood tests for it spread out over a few months. First one was high, next two are what they call "normal but borderline" However the keiser labs have a wider range of "normal" results than most labs. theirs is 25-200 mcg but most labs list 60-150 as normal range.(some list 160 but NONE list 200) my three tests were 224, 179 and 198 with saturation 54% to 78%(tibc) as far as Im concerned its high and I show every sign of hemocromatosis.

Anyway thanks yall for your thoughts and well wishes. I know God doesnt give us more than we can handle, but sometimes I wonder how far he can push me lol

You and your family will be in my prayers.

I hope you can find a few moments to regenerate each day, to take a deep breath and realize that you have to take care of yourself in order to care for others.

Let us know how you and your family are doing.

Tawsha, I'm sorry to hear of your recent troubles. I will keep your family in my prayers.

We put Nikoli on a preventive in November and it's working like a charm. He gets Inderal.

TY so much for all your prayers and thoughts ev1! I thought I ought to update things and let you know how its going.

First off, yes my sister did have cervical cancer. They did a full historectomy as well as removing some extra stuff. She had her surgery June 8th. Thankfully they got it all! They need to check her every 6 weeks, but for now no chemo! YEA! She is recovering well from her surgery.

My migraines are still horrible, and not making progress. Guess its time to switch preventatives yet again. Who knows what to try next I have been on so many of them.

My aspergers son has been behaving a bit better the last few weeks. Of course it helps that 2 of my boys have been gone working with my sister in her business. (She needs all the help she can get right now)
So its been basically one on one with Matthew. He does pretty well for the most part in that situation.

He had a fit the other day and i had sent him to his room so we all didnt have to hear his fit. After a while he came down and wanted to get up. I told him he owed me something first. Imagine my SHOCK when he appologized and gave me a half hug! that is a major first! He rarely hugs at all and only apologizes when he is forced to. I didnt even use the word apologize and he figured it out. Major breakthrough I feel.

Anyway ty again for all your prayers, and Deb,I'm so glad Nikoli's preventatives have worked! yeaaa!
