Migraine

Circumstances are getting beyond my control. I told Teri part of the problem, but there's more to it than what I told her. I'm teary most days, and having a hard time talking about the whole situation.

And, yes, The Beast is attacking more frequently.

I feel like I did when I was in high school - when I thought everybody was talking about me behind my back. I was not part of the "In Crowd," but was a little sister whose brother and sister both had been very "In." I was a four-eyes egg-head nerdette. Self conscious? Big-time!

Oh, and sometimes we do talk about you...We say what a terrific person you are, what a terrific sense of humor you have, and how lucky we are to know you. Just assume that everyone else is thinking the same stuff about you, too.

I, too, love your posts. All the wisdom and perspective and (as Megs so perfectly put it) poetic outlook are simply grand. You know how to appreciate the good stuff and not take it for granted, which is one of the finest attributes a human being can have, I think. You are so far into the in crowd around here I don't think out is possible.

We're here, and we aren't goin' anywhere, dearheart! I hope with every ounce that is droolie that things start looking up very soon. We love you!

You of all people are one of the "IN" people. Because when you respond to people, you truly care AND your posts reflect that.

When I was so down months ago about my neighbors, YOU were the one that made me laugh and gave me hope!!! I was scared and frustrated and you said some things that were just were so funny. Made me feel like you were right here with me!!!

So, it breaks my heart now to hear you are going thru a difficult time and I want you to know that I am praying for you. But also that whatever you are going thru, you are not alone. God is your Lifeline and so are your friends here on this forum.

Let's face it, we all come from different walks of life and our common thread is migraine...with which we all use our experiences, sorrows, and joys to life one another up!

How I feel for you!! You are such a precious person who adds so much to this forum and who brightens my day on a regular basis! I'm praying that you will feel how very loved you are and what an incredible support you are to so many people here.

Migraine and Depression are so insidious! They taunt us at our weakest! But they are LIARS!!! Big fat rotten liars!!! They want you to buy into a view of yourself that is not true. Unfortunately, I can relate all to well as your fears are ones I live with myself.

There is this great story I once heard. In short, it's how lions get their prey. They put the older lions with the loud roars on one end and the young lions with the strong teeth on the other. When the wildebeest (or in our case "the BEAST") hears the roar of the older lions, it naturally runs away from the roar which leads them straight into the waiting mouths of the young lions who are young and supple and can catch them and immobilize them for the rest of the pride.

I think life is a lot like this. We so often run away from the roar and it leads us right into the path of danger. But if we stand our ground and face the fear, we find it is nothing but an old snaggle tooth lion with only enough energy to roar but not to destroy.

Run toward the roar! You are strong! Your strength radiates in this forum! And you have friends here who are cheering you on!!!

You know me, I am no expert, but I know by experience that I felt a hugh depression and feeling of inadeqacies when my migraines got out of control (hence, I was gone for a while) then I really think they were linked it to my migraines. I don't know, it is just a thought. But, whatever the reason for why you are feeling the way you are, please know that I think YOU ROCK!! And you "IN" in my book
