If you guys could aim some prayers/thoughts/etc. in the direction of Houston, TX that would be apprechiated.

This is kinda hard to explain but my extra grandparents lived across the street from my grandmother's house all my life. I would walk by thier house on the way to school and sometimes just stop by and it was like having another set of grandparents. They are actually related to me also (my cousins' actual grandparents).

Anyway, a couple of months ago they moved down to TX so they could be cared for by their daughter (my aunt in law) as their health has been declining for years (they are in their late 80s I think). My "grandmother" had kidney failure last weekend and died earlier this week.

My "grandfather" has lung cancer. The doctors don't want to operate - he nearly died during his last operation. And he doesn't want to go through chemo. So they are giving him a couple of months at most. And now his wife has just died. And I can't imagine how horrible this is for him.

The funeral is tomorrow morning (and he is not well enough to travel to go). So please send whatever comfort you can that way.

Laurelin

Thanks everyone.
I am sad to say that he died Sat. morning. We got the call as we were getting ready for the funeral.
It's a little hard for us, esp. my aunt. But I am sure that they are much happier now that they are together again.

Thanks - Laurelin

I am so sorry. A double loss so quickly and close together must be inexpressably hard. I believe that is an expression of his love for her, that his heart was so broken. I WILL pray for you and your family. (and for no migraines through the stress and emotions)

Thank you so much everyone!
We really appreciate your prayers and support.

It's really been a blessing for me so far that I've actually gone a few days without a migraine.

Thanks,
Laurelin
