As many of y'all know, I'm not big on the prayer thing... But I'm worried sick and can't do anything other than hope and pray that everything will turn out okay.

My Great-Aunt had a heart attack a day ago. She's 96 years old, and feisty as anything. Still, she's in the ICU, and over 500 miles away from where I am now. There's fluid around the lungs, and it's draining... but she's fragile, and things are still very much up in the air... I may fly up later in the week, but right now, flying up there is being discouraged by my family. (long story)

So, if y'all could spare good thoughts, prayers, or positive vibes for my family, it would be really appreciated.

Thanks,
J

Lord, God,

Please tuck Jamie's Great Aunt in Your sleeve today. She is in need of You now, more than ever. Hear our prayers as we lift her, and Jamie, up to You. Amen.

Absolutely positively. Thoughts, prayers, vibes, and extra special wishes.

I had a great aunt that was feisty as all get out, too. She would still climb up in the trees and trim branches well into her 90s. She'd also get mad because she couldn't understand why she'd need a nap during the day. There's just something extra special about the feisty aunts like that. They certainly weasel their way into hearts.

Thanks for all the prayers, thoughts and everything, y'all. It seems like she's going to make it. She's still in the ICU, but they're thinking of moving her to a step-down room tomorrow.

It's driving me nuts that I'm not up there to help out- my parents are getting worn out, and all I can do is listen to them.

Flying up there isn't an option right now- and the break from my migraines that I had has ended with all of the family drama. So, (Ugh) I'm really just stuck here and my week free of head-pain has ended with a BANG.

So, I'm so happy that things are going so much better for my great-aunt...she's sitting up and eating even. She says the food is delicious. Having been hospitalized at that same hospital, I can attest to the fact that "delicious" is not the word I'd use. Perhaps just the act of eating at all is "delicious."

Thanks all.

Much Love,

Jamie
