Migraine

This morning my DS learned of the death of one of his friends and football team members. Our community is shocked and saddened by the news. Unfortunately alcohol seems to have played a roll in the death.

I cannot imagine a worst nightmare for this young man's family.

I attended the family's church this morning with my son. There were easily 200 classmates of his there. And many parents also. I was fortunate to be able to sit with parent I know well. It was very comforting to be with everyone.

Please keep our community and the family in your thoughts and prayers. It is going to be a long week of us all.

I can only imagine how hard this is. You all are in my thoughts and prayers! I am sure this hurt will last, but I pray it will pass or at least ease away.

Oh, Dear God! Please hold this boy's family, teammates, schoolmates, teachers, friends, and community in the hollow of Your hand. Guide them through the days ahead. Help them live with the questions, and come to peace with themselves, each other, and the answers.

Please, God, help Cindy and her DS come to terms with their grief, and by so doing, help them help others to do so.

Please, God, help us all to understand that You have marked our comings and our goings, and are with us always, now, and forever more. Amen.
