Migraine

For those of you who use GelStat Migraine... do you order it online, or are there local stores that carry it? I've looked at a couple places here and have not found it. I ordered some off of Amazon, and the shipping was as much as the item! If you have found it in stores, I'd love to know which ones

Doesn't their web site have a list of retailers?

I have looked on the website, and cant find a list of pharmacies. It just says If you cant find it in your local pharmacy just Ask them they can get it! HERE is the link to their website.

Great question, as I just found out about gelstat thanks to MJ, and I too will be looking for it in the pharmacies around here!

Just a thought, but I use drugstore.com a lot, they may have it. They carry lots of neat stuff..

My small independent pharmacy carries Gelstat. The larger chain stores may not have it, but local smaller ones may be able to get it for you.

Teri: I couldn't find a list of retailers anywhere on their site, unfortunately. I looked around on the web a bit, but only found online retailers so far.

Nancy: good idea - I'll check some of the smaller mom & pop type places... I haven't had any luck with the big chains so far.

I've found it in the Publix pharmacy and also in the local Wal-Mart pharmacy.

Hm, I'll have to check Walmart tonight. I searched a little more around on the internet and found some old news stories about some retailers that carry it. The stories are all from 2005 or earlier though, so I don't know if they still do, but here they are anyway:

H.E. Butt Grocery Company (HEB) and Meijer stores

Valu Merchandisers (I couldn't find an actual list of the stores that are owned/stocked by Valu Merchandisers, but I thought I'd include it anyway)

Publix

Walgreens (not sure if this is still the case... my local one doesn't carry it)


Brooks Pharmacy and Longs Drug (our Long's was bought by Walgreens, which doesn't carry it, but YMMV)

My local Walgreens does not carry it either. I haven't tried it yet but I plan to - I'll probably order it online though.

I didn't get to Walmart, but our King Soopers (Kroger on the east coast) didn't seem to carry it. The pack I ordered from amazon should be here in a few days though.

For those of you who *have* found it in local stores, where do they usually stock it? I looked in with all the analgesics, and with the vitamin supplements, and didn't see it, but I wondered if I was looking in the right place.

I'm just finally getting around to ordering this. It looks like you can buy it directly from the GelStat Corp's website, and while shipping still isn't cheap, you can buy it in 4-dose or 8-dose packs, as well as a few bulk options: 32 doses, 48 doses, 96 doses, 192 doses. So that's already better than amazon.com, where you can only get the individual 4-dose packs.
