Hello,
This is my first post here. I've done some research that has shown Buspar (buspirone) has been at least moderately effective for migraine prophylaxis. However, I'm curious if anyone has experience/knows of it's use for acute migraine attacks? Thanks, Zach |

Welcome to the forum. Buspar is used as a preventive medication, I don't think it's used as rescue, at least not that I know of. I used Buspar briefly some years ago, but it was for treatment of anxiety, not for migraine. I believe this is the first time I've seen Buspar brought up on the forum. That I know of, it's not as commonly scripted as say the anti seizures, or SSRI's and SNRI's or even BP meds for that matter. Are you taking this now? I'd be interested to hear how you do on it!
