I just recently gave birth to my daughter. My OB wanted to start me on Mirena, however I'm a little apprehensive about it. What is the best bcp to use? I know everyone is different but I don't want my migraines flaring up every day and they tend to be hormonal. Thanks for the suggestions.

Unfortunately, there's really no way for any of us to be able to say which BCP would be best for you. That's heavily dependent on your needs and your medical history/profile. Only your doctor can sort that out, since he's got access to you and your medical record. I'm assuming you've given him/her the scoop on your migraines and migraine status, and that hormone fluctuations are a big trigger, right?

Yes we had to deal with them the entire pregnancy. Not fun at all. They have tapered off a lot since I had the baby. Thankfully. Maybe we are on the down hill side.
