My new medications, Zonegran 100 MG, 1 capsule once a day, and Clonazepam 0.5 MG, 1 or 2 tablets (I have to take 2) at bedtime to help you sleep, 500 MG Magnesium 3 times a day, and the Axert when needed that I have been on since June 10th is finally beginning to work. At first, I was getting worried because I only get 9 Axert each month and have had to cut them in half and before I was able to get another refill I had already used them all, and the pharmacy would tell me it was to soon to have them refilled. Well I can happily say.... I am due for another refill tomorrow the 12th and I have 4 whole tablets left. So, now.... maybe I can take a whole tablet if I need too. Of course this still means I have had to take 10 1/2 tablets... but that still averages out to only 2 migraines per week. Where as before I was having from 5 to 6 per week. Just pray for me that this continues. Who knows, maybe I'll be able to get me a part-time job soon. That would sure help with my finances. Things are looking up as my migraines go. Smiler

I did have surgery this past Monday 7/7 to have a urethral caruncle (polyp) removed. I'm still a bit sore from that and having some bladder issues. Haven't got the results of the biopsy. I would think that is a good sign. Usually, if it's serious I would have heard something by now. Just remember me in prayer for this issue. Take care and God Bless everyone on these forums. Heart

Isn't it just the greatest feeling to feel like your on the right path after failure after failure. I am on an upswing myself, but I am always reserved about happy news, bet you are too. Try to get all the happiness you can inside and here in the forum even if you don't have anyone outside to tell. My husband really only understands sick and better, in betweens seem of not much interest. I am also hopeful about a part time job too.

Well, it was too good to be true. Yesterday, I got hit with a horrible migraine. But I went for several days without one. Shouldn't complain. Even one migraine isn't good though. As we migraineurs know. The good thing was... I took a whole Axert, not a 1/2 and it worked SO much better and faster. I haven't had that advantage since the doctor put me on Axert because I only get 9 every 30 days. I have 3 tablets left and I was able to refill it on the 12th. I am going on a trip this weekend so I am going to get it refilled. I just can't believe things are going so much better for me.

Also good news on the urethral biopsy... it was benign.... yea!! The bloating I was experiencing was from the anesthesia and will pass. The pain in the lower abdomen was a bladder infection so the doctor gave me an antibiotic to take care of that. So I am on the mend. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

Take care everyone and have a great week. A migraine free one! Group Hug Dianna

Hooray for the biopsy result, and for being able to take a whole Axert tablet.

Sorry I'm tardy to the party!

I'm sorry the beastie took revenge on the positive post Wink I find whenever I post a success I get clobbered shortly thereafter...
Even w/ the migriane, it really seems like you are on the right track with your medications.

I'm glad to hear the biopsy came out good too!!! One less thing to worry about.

Good Luck Good luck and keep us poseted!!!
