Teri, I found mention of a hemiplegic migraine study, looking at the use of triptans in hemiplegic migraine sufferers. Have you seen/read anything about this?

I don't suffer from HM myself but I was curious. The news brief is HERE.

Very interesting, MJ! I'll have to get a copy of that journal article. Thanks for pointing this out!

You're welcome, Teri! I would love to hear your thoughts on this when you have time to do more research on it.

BTW I finally got a copy of your book in the mail. I just started it tonight and can already tell I'll be marking up the pages and referring back to it often. I feel like I don't say this enough, but thank you so much for all you do for all of us! Heart

I don't subscribe to that journal because it's $800 per year, but I can buy an individual article. That one should be worth the $$. There was a similar study not too long ago about triptans and basilar-type Migraine. I would think that whether or not triptans should be used could be at least somewhat dependent up on the individual Migraineur, but what they say about the actions of triptans does make sense.

I LOVE it when people say they're marking up the pages of my book. As I said in it, it's not a piece of great literature; it's a tool. Hope you find it helpful.

MJ, you're very welcome. Believe me, it's a joy for me when I can help someone. I'll never forget what it's like to be so incapacitated day after day.

huggles! LoveYou
