I called 2 nuero and told all symptoms. I tod them then I was missing block of time. I guess black out words not used but the same thing. I called my dr today she was not in nurse said if I go there it is going to be referred to nuero. They are 20 miles away I am not driving over. Then if Bruce take off work to take me and they refer me whats the point. I already have 5th appt and on call list if they get a cancellation.
I know you cannot give med advise here. But mabey if there is test er SHOULD give me and You can tell me If I have to go again then Ican make them give it. They told me to come back if new symptoms, I did, nothing. They say 101 fever, more paralasis ect... I am watching everything close and writing in notebook so if I go again. But when I went to 2nd er i had list of symptoms to watch for and return if occoring. I could not answer her too well so I tried to show her the list I underlined, she did not look at it. Like I was mentally ill. My poor hubby was csared too and he dont know what to do. He is BIG, BIG man 6ft5 300lb. If he gets forcefull they might throw him out or in jail, because he scares people when he sais nothing. Men especially are afraid of him. Anyway that dont matter, what matters is I have to find out 4 or 5 things it can be then make dr test for it.
Do you know if the blood work they do really show impending stroke?

Bev,

Darlin, it shouldn't be your job to tell the doctors what to test for. It's REALLY time for a new doctor. Is the doctor you're waiting for an appointment with a Migraine specialist?

No, I don't know about blood work and stroke. I can tell you, though, that CT and MRI can't totally rule out stroke. MRA and MRV too look at the blood vessels are needed to totally rule out stroke.

Something else that should be ruled out at this point is seizure activity. Not all seizures are the kind with shaking and tremors. With some seizures, the person just gets still and nonresponsive. They can be a bit like blackouts.

The generally long periods of time between my Migraines are the result of working with a Migraine specialist to refine my preventive regimen. You can see my current regimen HERE.

I was just talking about ER dr. and telling them test if I had to go and they were at a loss.
My 2 dr do not have a clue. One is GP and one is fibro dr. They both already said to see a nuerologist.
One nuero, who I do not see looked over test from ER and said just go see new Nuero on the 5th. I guess she figured whats the ppiont if I only was going to see her 1 time.
This nuero, that I will see on the 5th I have never seen before. I believe he specilizes in brain disorders. I do not know if he specilises in migraine. However the one nuero I did see was suppose to be a migraine specialist was very bad DR. She is the one who had me taking the fROVA, cYMBALTA, AND DHE45 Then I found out from you taking frova 2days week then dhe45 2 days was too much. I have seen other Nuero that were "Migraine specialist and got nowhere. So I will see this new guy, who cam highly recomended. He can rule out diseases or strokes, ect. Not to worry if I am not impressed with him It will be a 1 time visit. I am sick of spending Bruce hard earned $. Also I do not have time to wast now, stroke or no stroke.
I looked up meds and so far I am taking some that increase seizure risk. I am glad you said this as I was wondering about it. However I cannot remember if Frova increases risk. I think so. Since I taken triptan about 13 years, mabey just now getting backlash from them.
I do not know what I will do if triptan fails me. Then I WILL HAVE to seek out a nuero who specilises in migraine. May have to travel and see your dr. as you seem to have alot of good things to say about him.
I Know it is not my job to inform dr. HoweverBruce and I are the only ones living with my Fredrick possesed body. So I feel if I do not help dr figure it out it will not get solved. Alot of variables go into diagnosing things. Dr. knowledge is alot of it. I just feel with all these bizzare symptoms I am having and given past experience with dr's it beehooves me to help and research all I can.
Did I tell you that sat morning I had severe jaw pain for half hour? That was on list too.I think thats more heart attack symptom. We took bp and such was good.
I feel sorry for people in New Or. watching their homes hit with hurricaine. Alot of them have no means of replacing their homes. I am sure not many in that area can afford hurricaine ins.

Thanks for info on MRV ect. I have never even heard of those. I plan on getting every scan there is . Especially if I have to get these braces off to get one scan they are just going to go down the list until I am assured there is nothing going on. Because if they don't 6 months down the road I could be repeating this.
