Migraine

Help..I'm 34, & have been suffering 8-15 migraines (common type, no visual aura) since age 11, 1 yr prior to menses at 12
I also experienced bouts of hair loss, dry skin shortly after 13-17 y/o & then severe PMS that got worse from age 18 to present.
Despite best Headache specialists in NYC (now @ MOntefiore) & multiple antidepressants, AEDs, beta & calcium channel blockers & other blood pressure pills, anti-inflammatories (over 10 years trying meds), plus clinical trial of an "ONC" occipital nerve stimulator, which had to be removed... I'm going back to my original gut feeling that my ovarian hormones are huge migraine trigger for me. & it's not being addressed.
I fit critera for menstrually related migraines, which get much worse with ovulation, & menses..with the estradiol falls. Though they happen at other times (but much less severe).
I've been given random OCs from gynecologists who really did not educate me or know much about these synthetic hormones packages in a 1 size fits all dosage. & of course never checked my ovarian hormone levels. I was put on low dose estrogen, or progestin-only pill, such as Micronor. which I think in hindsight caused more problems.
Doctors are afraid of estrogen for so many reasons..though I don't have visual aura, never smoked, & was way under 35 for most of these years on OCs (age 20-34 almost continuously)
With a spot estradiol, progesterone blood test on Day 23, I suspect my estradiol is 1/2 what is optimal. I'm having a saliva panel this month to test levels of estradiol, progesterone, & testosterone at 5 keys points of cycle.
Have any of you female sufferers with migraines starting at menarche found this significant ovarian hormone link?
I'm looking for a bio-identical hormone specialist MD/NP in NYC area & having trouble
I also know Dr Vincent T Martin (cincinatti) has written & spoken on Migraine & ovarian hormones..there must be more to read!
Any of you have great articles or links?
Sorry it's such a long question with many parts. I think it's a fascinating & very overlooked migraine subject.
