Migraine

Hi guys,

Last Wednesday I had an MRI done on my brain. I rememeber some months ago that a board member posted their scans showing migrainous lesions, and was wondering how far that went back and if anyone could help me to find those or other scans on the web that display the same materials.

I've been doing a lot of independent research lately and just want to do comparisons. I haven't heard back from the GP yet but I don't trust their office to understand migraine on MRI anyway (if anything is apparent), so my reports and scans are also going to my migraine specialist. I've been looking into posterior circulation territory and migraine's possible effects on the structures at the back of the brain. Surprisingly, PFO is indicated in many of these cases wherein there were visible lesions, but not all of them.

I had the MRI done because I have been extraordinarily clumsy lately with many falls and a lot of left-sided motor problems. I haven't blacked out since Christmas but I figured it was a good time to look at the brain again and see what's up, if anything. From what I've gathered, I have my suspiscions but will try to refrain from jumping the gun until my specialist has a look.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it. The internet is great but I can't find anything to compare my scans to, or perhaps there is nothing to compare to because there isn't anything there! Either way, I'm frankly too involved in the research now to give up.

I have also looked for information on brain lesions caused by migraines and have found very little information on them.

It seems that it is a common fall back explanation for neuros when there is not enough evidence to diagnose anything else. Yet I can find images of lesions caused by other diease processes and nothing definitive for migraine.

I have also had episodes of stumbling and right side weakness and am interested in what you find out.
