Awhile back I signed up for a year of sessions with a private trainer. The sessions consisted of weight lifting on various machines then finishing off with 30 minutes of cardio. Well I went for a week and a half and then cracked a bone in my foot that had me in a boot for the last 5 weeks. Now my foot is finally healed and I have a delima. Every single time I did a session, it triggered a migraine before I was even finished. The last session I went to triggered one so badly that I had to go to Dr. K for an IV mag treatment.

I would like to try to go back to my sessions but Im afraid. I do not want to trigger more horrible migraines and Im also worried about breaking my foot again. However, I need to get in much better shape and loose a lot of weight. I also spent a fair amount on this. What do you all think? Should I just give up on it and try something like water arobics? That is one thing Dr. K suggested but I worry I wont loose the weight that way. Thanks for reading this.

Amy,

Talk to Dr. K. about it. He may be able to suggest something to take before working out.

Definately speak with your doctor about it. Unfortunately exercise migraines are common. Working out dialates your blood vessels, and migraines are caused by over dialated blood vessels. Mad

I have the same problem. I bought a rowing machine for myself in May, but by July I started getting migs 3X a week. Now, I'm terrified to get on it that I might trigger a mig!

I hope you're able to work something out where you can go through your sessions w/o migraines! Fingers Crossed
