Thanks to you all who have given me GREAT advise and lots of hugs over the past few weeks. Things are finally looking up on all fronts!

DH and I are doing MUCH better. He refused to go to counseling so we sort of did it ourselves. We sat aside 1 hr/night to talk about us-not work, kids or anything else. It has helped TREMENDIOUSLY! I finally feel like we've turned a corner and will actually be OK. Our anniversary is the 13th-14 years-so we're going out to dinner-something we've NEVER done!~

Work is improving as well. Beginning this week, I will be off by 3:30 3 days, noon on Friday and 4:30 on Mondays(our busiest day). I finally have time to do some things and spend some time with the kids. I'm really looking forward to summer and afternoons in the pool.

I think the best improvement has been my migraines. My doc started me on magnesium and alpha-lipoic acid to see if that would help. I have FINALLY gone an entire week without a migraine! It's the first pain free week since mind-February! I'm learing to better recognize the triggers and avoid them as much as possible AND recognize the earlies symptoms and take action right then-not 2 hrs. later. I've had a couple of just very minor headaches, but 3 Advil took those away. I've survived a tough week at work and 2 major storm fronts without a migraine. I'm so thrilled I can hardly stand it. I'm also learning more about the "stackable triggers"-if I have one or more things going on, I know to avoid the other triggers(chocolate and caffiene). Alone, the chocolate and caffiene aren't bad, but if I have ANY hint of a migraine, I have now learned that no matter how bad I want it, avoid them or I will pay BIG TIME.

I think all in all, things are much better and I'm very optimistic that things will continue to improve. Finally some ME time without a migraine!

Lynn

Amazing news! You've really turned your life around!

Have fun on your anniversary celebration. DH and I don't do a lot of celebrating on ours. It's December 27, and we're usually too tired and partied-out to go anywhere. We celebrate sometime in January.

I am so happy for you! Big Grin It is so nice to hear things working out for people! Relationships can be hard work, and to know that after all of this time your still willing to put in the work is very romantic, I wish the best of luck for you! Good Luck I am also happy for you that you are more able to listen to your body and the triggers and help prevent the whammy of a migraine before it gets real bad! Kudos for you! I wish only the best for you!
