I have just made it three days with no migraine! That's the first time since early January. I've been averaging one every other day for two full months now. I was so happy when I made it two days without a migraine on Sat and Sun, and now, unbelievably, I've made it through Monday too!!
I have no idea what I did right or wrong. I'm following the treatment plan from my migraine specialist. Maybe it's finally starting to work. Last week was better than the week before, only four migraines in seven days down from five in seven. But I know better from experience to get too unrealistically hopeful. I could crash and burn again tomorrow. But at least I got THREE WHOLE DAYS!! No matter what happens, they can't take that away, can they! Oh, man, sometimes good things do happen. LauraSue. (I'm 54, have had severe migraines for over 4 years due to menopause, plus I have fibromyalgia. I take Imitrex plus Anaprox as an abortive and am working with my migraine specialist to find a preventive. I keep a detailed migraine diary and have made significant lifestyle changes to reduce my risk of migraines.) MENOPAUSE COUNTDOWN:  |

Yay LauraSue! Glad you've had three whole days! I think the key here is to remain, what is it we call it, "cautiously optimistic".
