Well, I succeeded in nipping the 2-day migraine in the bud. By staying in bed in the dark all day yesterday I successfully prevented a recurrence. So today I feel much better physically. It's amazing how much difference that makes.
I'm still staying in bed again today though, to see if I can make it through 2 days migraine free! The only thing I've done is take a shower, so if a migraine hits, that effort, noise and light was the trigger. (How feeble is that, to be triggered by taking a shower???!!! At least I'm clean!!) I love staying in bed, always have, since I was a kid. I may be in bed but that doesn't mean I'm depriving myself of fun. I have the computer, which I can have fun on 24/7. I have magazines and books. I have sudoku and crossword puzzles. Sheer bliss. I am just SO grateful that I no longer have to work and can devote full time to managing my migraines. My heart goes out to all of you who still have to work/keep house/take care of kids. I can't imagine how you do it. Bless your hearts. LauraSue. (I'm 54, have had severe migraines for over 4 years due to menopause, plus I have fibromyalgia. I take Imitrex plus Anaprox as an abortive and am working with my migraine specialist to find a preventive. I keep a detailed migraine diary and have made significant lifestyle changes to reduce my risk of migraines.) MENOPAUSE COUNTDOWN: |

So glad that your streak broke, and you got some relief, LauraSue! Spending days in bed can be deliciously wonderful- in a luxurious kinda way!

Well, I work, we have no kids, and the pets get fed. As for the house... not so much. I come home too tired to clean, and lay down on the couch. DH plays video games, and come the weekend, if I'm feeling well, there's no way I want to be cooped up inside CLEANING... And if I'm not feeling well, I'm in bed, making more of a mess! |

Yippie Yahooie LauraSue!! I'm glad you had your restful day (and are clean LOL)
I'm with Jamie except I have no "real" excuse for not cleaning except when I'm sick. The kids do their daily chores but as for deep cleaning, I've fallen behind. The kids did it for me last week. I just decided that spending time cleaning instead of with the kids isn't as important. Although I have no excuse for not cleaning on the days I'm not sick and at home not working....sssshhhhh Stay well LauraSue Laura Forum Moderator ***You're welcome to enter your birthday, etc in the Celebrate folder so we can party with you!! =) *** |

Glad to hear you avoided the beast.
Oh man, cleaning. I cannot keep up with the mess that DBF and I make. We're not even that messy - our place just gets cluttered when we don't put stuff away. DBF is really good about taking on my share of the cleaning when I'm not feeling well, though. My mom was in town last weekend so she "cleaned" part of the apartment - meaning she put stuff away that will probably take us 6 months to find it. -MJ my blog: http://rhymeswithmigraine.blogspot.com/ "What will you do, if it does not turn out how you expect?"
