I had tried to make an apt w/my Primary care doc for today- but no such luck. And due to previous other experiences with other docs at that place... um... No No way.

at 10:30, due to wind, we lost power at work.

So... I had time to go to the walk in urgent care doctor place...

I explained exactly what happened- bringing the discharge instructions, (and diagnoses) from the hospital- The PA read through it quickly... and With a shake of her head, she left the room to make a copy of my current med list for the file. SHe came back with a percocet Rx. I asked if she could give me a non-combo drug- so that the rebound factor could at least be minimized. She understood completely. (I'm pretty sure that she's a migraineur herself- she knew about rebound/MOH- w/o me having to explain anything...) And she understood about why i couldn't add more nsaids in addition to the ketoprofin that I have for my head...

so- i have adequate pain control. It feels good. I think this is a success.

Did you hug her? I think I would've hugged her hard enough to squish the very stuffing out of her. Big Grin

That is the best news I've heard all day long, Jamie. I can only guess at just how big relief that must be to you after the long weekend.

Thanks, Gretchen. It's nice to be able to share good news after the couple of days that I've had!

It was also nice having the day to recover- I needed it- and couldn't take it off, really.

It appears that the servers/electricity at work is still down. Maybe they won't get to it until tomorrow?

Hey Jamie.

We're glad to hear that things are better today and that you got the meds you need.

Sol is napping but she will KILL me if I fail to ask about your concussion. Feeling better? We assume that you told the urgent care doc about your concussion but wanted to make sure that you are doing better.

Peace,

Dave

Hey Dave and Sol,
Yeah, I'm getting better... slowly but surely. It's hard to have had a migraine postdrome and the aftereffects of a concussion-- not sure what to blame on which stupid/clumsy behavior or verbal blatherings!

Thanks for asking! Hope all's well with y'all,
Jamie

Glad you're better. Smiler Thanks to my Midrin, I had parts of my brain shut completely off yesterday. I spent almost two hours wracking my brainbucket trying to come up with the name of someone I see at school every day. I finally had to ask a buddy at dinner. How pathetic is that? Maybe it was sympathy brain frog. Ribbit!
