I used the injectable Imitrex for the first time tonight - I wish I could use it every time! The migraine was much more advanced than usual so I got up my courage to use the injector. It works fast and without the achiness all over the body that I usually get from the Imitrex tablets. And knocked the pain down from an 8 to a 3.
A small victory, but I had such intense pain this evening - so much worse than usual lately, what a relief to have something that really works! That stuff is a total lifesaver for me. It doesn't work 100% of the time, but when it does, the relief is almost immediate.
