I haven't wanted to post this because I don't want to jinx myself, but I think I might be having some Verapamil + Alesse success! I've been on Verapamil for 5 weeks now and the Alesse for 3 months.
For the last week, I've been going 6-8 hours on most days with no recognizable pain! The severity of the migraines I'm having has been dropping from a lion's roar to a kitten's meow at times. I've actually been able to go shopping and socialize and enjoy the holidays!!! It's just amazing after I had such a bad start to the month!
My brain really likes having Verapamil back too. It was Verapamil that pooped out when my latest cycle started. Since I've been back on it, a lot of my cognitive sharpness has been coming back. I've been able to read and write so much easier. My memory is improved. I can't explain it, but I feel a million times better being back on Verapamil.
I know there's room for improvement. I'm only on 120mg so far, which is only half of my usual dose. My next mig specialist appt is Feb 15th, so we may bump it up then. Hopefully things will continue to improve .

Thank you everyone! It's really exciting to be having some success! I was looking at my migraine calendar and noticed that, not only was I getting more pain free time, but that the migraines I'm getting are also less intense. I really can't wait to tell my doctor .
I'm off on a week long vacation now! See you next week

That's GREAT!!! I'm getting 5 day streaks now too so I know how wonderful it feels. Keep up the good work and keep those migraine gods happy!! Do you still attribute it to the verapamil? I wish the blood pressure meds had worked for me. All they did was give me cold hands!!
