Migraine

There are two hospitals in town, owned by the same company. I work at the big one, so I usually go there when I need the ER. I also go there because at the small hospital ER, I was told that "headaches don't get IVs". Well, a couple of weeks ago I went to Big ER, and left untreated after 3 1/2 hours. So Tuesday when I needed an ER, I decided to give Small ER another chance. I'm so glad I did! I got an IV of magnesium sulfate, some pain meds, and lots of TLC. The nurse was AWESOME! I got a backrub!! I made sure to call the nurse manager the next day and tell her how great the whole department, and especially that nurse, are. The triage nurse was wonderful, the admissions clerk was kind, and one of the housekeepers walking by my room offered me a blanket. Good care is so wonderful.
