Migraine

Thanks to Dr. K and Jane, I was successful in breaking an awful Migraine cycle.

The Migraine started over two weeks ago and my abortives weren’t working and my rescue meds weren’t putting a dent in it. I finally ended up in the ER for my first round of magnesium and steroids. While the treatment didn’t abort the Migraine, it made it easier to deal with and allowed my meds at home to start working. But, then a few days later, I ended up in the ER again for another round of mag and steroids and for the first time ever, the treatment did nothing. I ended up leaving the ER in tears.

I called my local neurologist when I got home but was unable to get in touch with him that day so I finally decided to call Dr. K. I was put through to Jane immediately and within minutes she was consulting Dr. K about my situation. He recommended going back to the ER for DHE to abort the Migraine and then he also adjusted my current meds and added another preventive to my mix. The DHE worked like a charm!

I cannot thank Dr. K and Jane enough for taking the time at the end of their busy day to stop what they were doing to help me out of a tough situation. What gems they are! A thank you card is on it’s way. Why I didn’t call over there sooner is beyond me!
