SUCCESS!! despite a semester with 5 er visits, 2 longer than 10 hours, and 1 admit to the hospital i've managed to pass my first nursing class and declare my major in college for the first time ever. it has taken an extra year because of the set back in diagnosis problems originally but right now i couldn't be happier with where i stand

Congratulations! That's a big deal! It took me an extra year also 'cause of chronic illnesses to finish college. So what, right? Just proves how much we want to graduate with a degree and our ambitions aren't hampered by the chronic ick, and can finish in spite of all of the obstacles thrown our way.

Getting a college education is always a huge accomplishment, even more so when coping with a nasty chronic illness.
