Woo-hoo, bim, I am so happy for you!!!
It looks like all your hard work and patience are
starting to pay off. I'll keep my fingers crossed Fingers Crossed
for your time between migraines to keep getting longer.
I hope to be right behind you soon. (When my new preventative
kicks in any day now!) I am very hopeful.

Take care and keep us posted.
I have missed seeing you around lately!

I went to bed super early, but got up just now to go potty. and like the true addict of this site that I am (LOL--- I just hadddddd to check), noticed I had some cheers coming my way already from my post. Thanks for your understanding. I know for quite a few of you, 3 days isnt much anymore, but you remember days when it was.

Sherry, your in my prayers ... I know what its like to play the new preventative waiting to kick in game Roll Eyes and thank you for your wish of my migraine free periods getting longer and longer... That warmed my heart, cause I have fervently hoped and prayed the same thing Big Grin

love to you all, a *still* and now technically into my 4th day pain free bim

Bim,
I am so so so happy for you- and it's great to see the new and improved Bim- not just migraine-wise, but perhaps equally, or even more importantly- the Bim with the upbeat attitude more and more of the time! Thumbs Up Yes

I think that's what I've noticed the most- you seem to have more confidence in yourself, and hope for the future.

Glad to see you posting a success story!

I'm in uncharted territory folks, I mean literally.
ever since I was about 6 years old I have never had more than 2 or 3 days without some sort of migraine.... and now... I have broken my record of 4.5 days. I am now at 4 days and 14 hrs (as opposed to 4 days and 12 hrs) or something like that and still going lol.

I am praying for 5 days... but if not, I know that I've made it farther than I ever have before and for that, I am eternally grateful. ( I feel a migraine wanting to push through *been raining hard--- which can trigger me--- all day) but I guess my topamax is saying "oh no you don't, you leave her alone now ya hear?"

Thanks for your thoughts guys!
love and pain free days to all
bim

Hooray for you, Bim! I've got my scaly little talons crossed for you. Smiler

I've gotta say, though, that my wishes don't stop at a mere five days. They're for much bigger, but I won't tell you the number, because I really don't want to jinx it! I like to Think and Hope Big! Big Grin

Oh, yeah. Another little tidbit.

Weather's a biggie trigger for me, too, and one in a while breaks a nice stretch for me as well. One thing I make sure of when the weather shifts and I feel those little "test nibbles" from the beastie is that I take some extra time out for relaxing. It's all about kicking back, relaxing, and practicing being content. It might be fuzzy blanket and book time. It might be a nice mug of my favorite tea and a book. It might be a bubble bath with a book. I've headed off many a threatening migraine just by taking it easy for a bit and getting cozy.
