I've had 5 days of no migraine, and since the first week post PFO surgery I have had no aura.

Sometimes on the Toprol I will get a week here and there free of attacks, but that seems to happen few and far between.

The aspirin and plavix may also be taking the role of preventatives since I take them everyday now--in another month I'll be dropping the aspirin and a month after that I will stop the plavix, so we'll see how those are impacting the migraine activity.

It seems encouraging, and I don't want to get my hopes up as things are still VERY tentative right now. But I've been able to play video games for the past week without starting to get that familiar sick feeling after a while. I kind of like that.

What is also encouraging is that I am not longer as fatigued as I was. I've ceased taking naps (unless I've worn myself out since I am still "recovering") and I've ceased relying caffeinated drinks altogether. Though I do still drink teas because I like them, but I am not drinking coffee to make it through work at all. I haven't touched it since surgery. I cannot remember a time when the bed wasn't my best friend. I can think clearly again.

So, whatever's having an impact right now, I'm thankful for it, and I'll take my clear days as I can get them. It's been like waking up, honestly, out of a long and foggy sleep where you can't remember your dreams. I hope it lasts. I really do.

As you wake up, don't disturb those cats on your ticker. They look as though they want a very long nap.

Seriously, I am so happy for you. There's just nothing like reclaiming your life after migraine disease stole it. Makes you so grateful for each pain-free day.

Keep up the winning streak! Celebrate! Live a little. Thumbs Up

Thumbs Up WOO-HOO!!!!!

I am so happy for you - let's celebrate!! Birthday Cake

I know living this life, every good day is a blessing. So, 5 in a row is great!! Maybe you really did get the device and it is working.

BTW, what are your games of choice? I don't play many, mostly I am a word and logical game player, besides Ms. Pac-Man - haha!! But my hubby and daughter love their video games.

I hope your success continues!!

Eileen, no, I haven't seen the new RE movie yet. I don't go to the theater anymore because I generally cannot handle crowds and I leave with a migraine anymore. Frowner But I am looking forward to it on DVD! I do love Milla...Have you heard her album, "The Divine Comedy"? It's an awesome CD, depending on your taste in music. It's kind of soft and folksy.

As for games I play, well, we are just about everywhere on the game spectrum. We just bought a Wii, so I'm playing the "new" Zelda. I also play a lot of Tomb Raider and whatever else strikes my fancy. I'm looking forward to picking up Heavenly Sword. I'm a huge Tetris fan too! I like the RE games but haven't played one in a few years. I heard that 4 was very good.

My husband plays a lot of games...We have all the newer platforms. It's a crazy addiction, I tell ya. He just beat Bioshock.

Thanks for your words of support..I'm just a little weirded out by it right now as I usually am when I go this long. It's so sad that you have to be wary of your pain-free days.

Yeah I tend to wait for DVD myself....too loud in the movies, plus I don't like crowds much either.

I love Tetris!!! I keep telling my husband I want it. Tomb Raider is a classic!! Love it!

I will have to check out Milla's album - I was unaware!!!!! Thanks!! Yeah, I like all types of music!

Hope you're still on a migraine free streak!!!!!!

Migraine free...not so much the past couple of days. But I am headed into a new cycle, ya know...so I'm not surprised.

I'm depressed and taking it kind of hard. I have to remember to give myself time.
