So it's been just over 2 months since my PRO procedure, and I wanted to post an assessment of my symptoms/migraine frequency.

Prior to the surgery, I was having 15+ migraines a month. Prior to the preventative measures, I was having one almost every day. I think I initially put my migraine frequency at 23-25 days out of the month.

I definitely, strongly suspect that I received the device, due to the side effects that I am aware of and other things that went on during the surgery. There's a chance I'm, placebo-ing myself, however, as I can be easily influenced. Smiler

The first two months were definitely the worst, as per the write-up. I had an increase in migraine severity for about 6 weeks. I maybe did not have a migraine everyday anymore, but when I did, they spiked up into the 8-9 range. There was more than one day when I was rolling around in bed in massive pain with my husband trying to get me to go to the ER for treatment. Prior to that, I can count on my hand the number of migraines I've had at that level. After surgery, I maybe had one a week that spiked and I even moved into Status Migrainous at one point, which is a first as far as I know. All I know is that when I had them, they were BAD. I seem to have left aura behind, too, having it only once this past month. Right after surgery I had an increase in aura that eventually went away.

The past two weeks have simmered down into a infrequent smattering of migraines that are brief and mild, perhaps one every 3-4 days or so. It's moved into my cycle so I don't expect a break this week, but after 2 months there are definitely changes present. I don't expect to be a person who, if having received the device, expects a 100% stop to the attacks. But so far these two months, despite the spike in pain, have been somewhat reassuring and encouraging initially. I'd say I am down to 1-2 migraines per week, whether of the painful or mild variety. Even my kids at work sense a change. Smiler

According to my materials I'm in a transistory phase at this point, in which my migraines will either simper away even more or there wouldn't have been any changes in frequency.

So things seem hopeful, and rather than feeling giddy about the changes as prior I am cautiously hopeful.

Of course I had maybe 4.5 hours of sleep last night...So I'm not being optimistic about today, lol.
