If I make it through 3 Days of 4 - 14 extra people in the house without a migraine, that will be more cause for celebration. Today I worked all day on getting the house ready, handled a bad situation for my son with a neighborhood bully, and even cleaned something with ammonia, and no migraine... yet... I'm tired and there's still a dishwasher to empty, but then I'll go to bed. Wish me luck tomorrow - and Sunday - and Monday!

Yay Megan! My fingers are crossed that you can continue to be migraine-free!

Megan,
Don't you just hate getting the house ready for company??? I think that's the pits! I always feel like things have to be just perfect, even when it's only family coming to visit... Enjoy your company!! Let us know how things go!! |

Hi Jenny -
I guess you saw how I did from my share post - great for the first 36 hours, not so hot today. But it's way better than some years. And I don't hate cleaning up for company as much as I used to - I've mellowed out a lot about it and don't try to get everything perfect. I used to tip myself right over into migraine-land worrying about it. Don't know if it's nearing 50 or all the hard work I've done on acceptance - or both. And I always have Danny (husband) telling me to slow down, pace myself, go rest - he's a great help. Actually sometimes I'm glad to have company to clean up for because then I get the things done I've wanted to do for months - two weeks ago I hung the living room drapes I hemmed - I've had no drapes for 2 years! Now the living room is so cozy and welcoming - and I get to enjoy that after the company is gone, too! Be well! - Megan |
