Let me say, I am simply amazed at the progress I have made in the last month and a half! I cannot believe how things have been changing.

I am finally consistently getting out of bed Thumbs Up , consistently doing housework Thumbs Up , consistently getting out of the house Thumbs Up and running errands Thumbs Up . A couple weeks ago I chanced it and flew to visit a dear friend for 4 days Big Grin and my head held up for the most part! And this week, I volunteered at BOTH places I want to be volunteering at Big Grin ! Holy cow, who's body is this!!!!

I still have limitations. My NDPH keeps me in check. And I have days where my body is just so exhausted even before attempting anything. If I do an activity for an hour, I have to rest/relax for several hours and give my head a break. Activity increases the severity of my daily headache, but it is managable! I just listen to my body and take lots of breaks.

I have gotten random Migraines here and there, but oh man, what a difference from before!!! In 33 days in Feb/March, I had 26 Migraine days! In the 33 days March/April I had 4 Migraines...yep, you read that right four! Big Grin And my menstrual Migraines were non-existent last cycle! Am I dreaming? Smiler

Everyday, I am appreciating every little thing I can do. If things change back to how they were, I will know that I've appreciated every second of this improvement and I know that it is possible to improve! Even the days that I am only minimally active or in bed with a Migraine, my life is so drastically different than it was a little over a month ago.

Lots of happy dancing going on in our household!

Thank you all for being with me in my darkest moments and my brightest (well since bright is not good for Migraineurs, how 'bout I say heart-warming) joys.

Heart
Kelly

I would attempt one million scaly somersaults in honor of your spiffy success but for the fact that I'd probably break things (including parts of me). Guess you'll have to settle for plan B...

Alaura, Thank you. I also hope that my new normal keeps progressing and changing for the better! I hope I never get back to where I was these last 6 months.

Jamie, It is *so* good to see something better than my bedroom walls! I'm actually finding that I'm having to "relearn" social skills . It is actually quite difficult. I'm not used to interacting with anyone else except for DH and my drs (IRL anyway). But I'd rather have this problem than feeling like a piece of furniture in my bedroom.

Laura, Thank you for the dance with the extra wiggle!

Cindy, Knightley follows me from room to room and doesn't know what to do with himself. But, he'll learn. He loves going outside for walks! So many new smells to investigate!

Thanks Deb!

Hi Robin! Well, I changed to a new preventative, yet again. This one just happens to be the one that my body likes. I was totally shocked when I responded to it. I'm on a very low dose of Gabitril.

Thanks Trene. I think we all deserve it. Smiler

Lisa, Thank you for being so happy for me! I wouldn't say I'm dependable again yet. That is my goal too. The places I volunteer at are very flexible and understanding that if I have a Migraine/increased NDPH then I can't come. One place is our church food pantry where my DH is a leader (we met there) and they always need people to help. The other place is the infant room at our church's mid-week childcare. They also are fine with me canceling last minute, fine with me leaving early and supportive despite my limitations. It was a beautiful weekend--had a nice walk outside yesterday! Although today I was in bed with a cold. I hope you were able to enjoy the weekend! I'd love to talk with you more off the forum about the knitted hats. You can msg me privately by my profile on mymigrianeconnection here.

Droolie, Thank you for your unending support and for even thinking of doing somersaults! Brought a huge smile to my face.

Big Group Hugs to all of you.

Kelly

HOOORAAAAY Kelly!
I'm sorry I missed this until now, but now that I've found the good news: I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU! My heart is overflowing with gladness that you are no longer feeling like furniture in your bedroom, but feeling so much improved that you are out volunteering! Four migraines a month is absolute Dancing on the Ceiling beautiful craziness from where you were, and I am rejoicing that you are experiencing such a change.
Hugs, Group Hug Hugs, Group Hug and more Hugs Group Hug to you - does this mean they don't have to be gentle anymore? Wink
