Ok, guys. You might have guessed this was coming. I actually DID throw up on an old boyfriend after starting to get a migraine when I'd eaten French Onion Soup for supper. Then, we were on a waterbed and my head started to feel like it was going...I don't even know how to explain...blow up! Well, I did throw up on him, poor guy!I threw up while trying to say I had to stop! It was awful!!! Good thing he understood!

OMG, CJ.... did you at least feel better after you threw up on the poor guy? Razzer How great that he understood. Sounds like a keeper, to me. Ha Ha

Awww...thanks for missing me, Laura! That's sweet of you. I've actually been trying out the Shareposts lately, because I didn't exactly have questions, but wanted to express myself somehow.

And Sandi, I did feel better after puking on the poor guy, but we broke up shortly thereafter. We were just too different on too many other levels.

Now, speaking of BF, I am single once again. Scott and I broke up in Jan '08. He got angry about 2 guys asking me to move my car during one of my son's snowboarding competitions, and he cancelled our group dinner plans and then yelled at me over the phone, all while the boys were watching(and listening). Having been in an abusive relationship before, I KNOW THAT RED FLAG WHEN I SEE IT!

However, I find that there is absolutely no change whatsoever whether I am with or without sex or an "O" in my life. That doesn't mean I don't like it, either! I just don't see any difference in my migraines!

Too bad, too. Maybe the FDA could have started to make our doctors write prescriptions for those. Big Wink

Love to all!

CJ

Hi again!

I think I need to clarify my last post. For me, there's no difference in the frequency of my migraines with or without that "O", or sex. And, the intensity can vary, for me, anyway, day-to-day, regardless of what else seems to be happening elsewhere in my body.

That's just how it goes for me, anyhow! But I think that asking for a prescription (for an "O" once a day)from the FDA would certainly bring attention to our cause!

I find that sex in general lessens migraine pain, but right after the orgasm, it's back with a vengeance. The temporary relief is good enough. Thumbs Up

When I started taking Topamax, and got to the higher dosage, I noticed not only my libido screeched to a halt but I also found that I also had no motivation for any affection whatsoever. Does that make since?

I have always been an affectionate person (hugs, kisses on the check, etc.) and I had no interest in that. Even my dog seemed to sense the difference because she would always snuggle with me in the morning and at night before bed and she started to avoid me. My dog is very in tune to my moods and is especially sweet to me when I have a migraine. Angel

Now that I am on the lower dosage, that problem seems to have gone away. Doggie is snuggled up as we speak. Heart

My dog is the same way. When I have a bad migraine and I'm stuck in bed or on the couch, he's always right there, lying on the floor by my side. I swear he knows mommy isn't feeling good because he gives me gentle kisses too. What a sweet boy!!

I can usually get about an hour after before pain comes back.

If it's just a tension headache, it can totally knock it out.

Welcome to the forum!!!

Arright, I really need to figure out what's doing this (paging amitriptyline?)- I miss my libido. And DH probably misses it even more. Razzer

Yes! The Amitriptyline made the libido problem worse. It was bad with just the Topamax and then TANKED with the addition of the Amitriptyline.
