Yesterday, I had quite an interesting conversation with one of our members who had emailed me because she was concerned about a purported Migraine "cure" being sold online. The promoting of "natural cures" is one of my pet peeves, and it's getting worse all the time.

There is no cure for Migraine disease at this time. Why do people claim that they have "the cure?" There are a couple of possible reasons that I can think of...

I reported a site yesterday because it said on the site that their product had no side effects. When I started researching the botanical ingredients in it, I found potential side effects that included worsening of asthma, heart issues, miscarriage, and more.

Sometimes, we get so desperate that we'll try most anything. When these blasted web sites promote products as "natural," implying that "natural" means safe, or when they flat out say "no side effects," I think that's potentially harmful.

Just my view. Roll Eyes

Of course, arsenic and nightshade are natural.

Flat out lying the way these web sites do strikes me as more "potentially" harmful than the "potential" side effects of most FDA regulated meds. Of course, supplements are not as carefully regulated.
