In 2008, a study indicated that women with Migraine disease have a 30% lower risk of developing breast cancer. At that time, lead researcher Christopher Li said,"We found that, overall, women who had a history of Migraines had a 30 percent lower risk of breast cancer compared to women who did not have a history of such headaches... Women who have higher levels of estrogen in their blood have higher levels of breast cancer." Many people (including me) were reluctant to accept the results of this study for a number of reasons. Now, the original researchers, joined by several more, have published a second paper on the relationship between Migraine history and breast cancer risk.
