The generally long periods of time between my Migraines are the result of working with a Migraine specialist to refine my preventive regimen. You can see my current regimen HERE.

I did. Now, why does it look like I'm replying to myself here.

Am I having a conversation with myself?

So- my new question- why do people call things "pillboxes" if there aren't "pills"

-strangely amused in north carolina...

Because I screwed up. Instead of replying to your post, I hit the edit button! Sorry!!! I just fixed it.

Dr. K. is also a pharmacologist. Now, I don't remember this whole thing, but evidently, there used to be a different form of oral medication that was a "pill." It differed significantly from today's tablets and is no longer used. It just bugs him to see "pill" instead of "tablet." I get into hot water all the time by using the two words interchangeably. Big Wink

Hmmm... that's really interesting- the pill/tablet thing.

Thanks for a mini- ask the clinician question within my overall question, Teri. It's nice to know the "why" of something- so when I stop using the word, I can do so with an educated flair. Thumbs Up

Teri -- I understand that the pill/tablet thing is a hot button for Dr. K, and I'll strive mightily to use the right word. However, I'm sure millions of women would feel weird having to switch from The Pill to The Tablet. (Smiley emoticon -- I don't know how to use them!)

Gretchen -- It's hot here. Heat advisory. Heat index 105. Slept late and haven't walked the dog. However, he has an iron bladder and can wait until it cools down a little.

It's hot here, too - 8 pm & still heat index 102! Red Face Tomorrow promises to be even worse.

I hear you, Gretchen! I still say "pill." LOL!

BTW, to use emoticons, click the little smiley in the format bar above the posting area and choose the one you want. Thumbs Up
