Teri,
May I add a great gift for the "migraineur in your life" under 20 bucks?
A donation through your headache on the hill link. It's cheap and can have real repercussions in the long run! I can't think of a better gift for a migraineur that you love! I know thats what i'll be askin for for xmas :-)

Bim

Teri,
Great list. I swear by the ice bag and the meds organizer on the rare occasions I travel. The ice bag can be filled at a rest stop or fast food place when traveling by car, or by a flight attendant on a plane. At home I use the ones in my freezer, but they don't stay frozen long enough for travel.

The meds organizer I've been using for four years now. In addition to migraines, I have fibromyalgia and IBS, so I take a gazillion pills. Counting all my pills out before we leave and having them in separate little ziplocs keeps them handy and helps me keep track if I've taken everything I should.

Couldn't travel without either one!

(I'm 55, have had severe migraines for over 4 years due to menopause, plus I have fibromyalgia. I take Imitrex plus Anaprox as an abortive and am working with my migraine specialist to find a preventive. I keep a detailed migraine diary and have made significant lifestyle changes to reduce my risk of migraines.)

Thanks, Laura Sue!

Some of my favorite items are on that list. That throw at Amazon is a great value. I bought several of them last year and was pleased to see that they have it again this year.

Good point on the ice bag. It's also handy in hotel rooms. If you're really hurting, you can generally get a bellman or someone to bring you ice so you don't have to leave your room to get it. More and more hotel rooms have microwaves these days, so the Bed Buddy is nice for travel too!
