Fledgling |
Hi,
Has anyone ever actually tried niacin for migraines/headaches? I've read some differing opinions on it and am curious. Thanks. |

Nope. I think the only other B vitamin I've ever heard of in relation to migraine prevention than B2 is B6. I've only seen mention of the B6 once, in a book I read a few years ago. When B2 fizzled some on me, I tried B6, and it seems to help, but that's all anecdotal, of course, and everybuddy's mileage varies.

Haven't tried niacin per se, but my neuro was pleased to see I added a B complex pill to my daily regimen when I saw him last month. He said it would help control the migraines.
Have been taking the B complex more for CFS, which it has helped control. Haven't noticed any effect on migraines. But, like Droolie said, "...that's all anecdotal, of course, and everybuddy's mileage varies." Good luck! Rebecca, The Island Mama |
