Can food tasting funny be a prodrome? Nothing I ate tonight tasted good, not even the fresh from the garden tomatoes. I ate nothing and almost immediately, got a migraine.

Deb,

I don't know "officially," but I know that this DEFINITELY happens to me with migraine! The one Diet Coke I allow myself each week tastes bitter and awful! Also, the spearmint gum I chew (especially when I have to fly) tastes bitter and "off" when I'm struggling with migraine. Because my migs are chronic and daily, it's hard for me to sort out the whole prodrome--migraine--postdrome thing. But I know I have days when food tastes right and when food tastes lousy!

You are not alone!

What a name for an aura, Droolie. Interesting how it comes from the same root as how ppl say that they ate their food with "gusto." so- does that make this the anti-gusto?
