I have been nausious for a week now, yesterday I finally got the major migraine that I thought was coming. I took my imitex and the aura went away and now this morning, the head ache seems to have subsided but I am still very nausious. Is this still part of the migraine or could it mean that I have something else going on?

Jamy, Welcome to the forum!
Here is some great place to start reading about migraines.

Nausea is so nasty, especially when it is constant. We understand. I don't have an answer for your question. I'd suggest giving your doctor a call. It would be good to call the office early so you could hopefully get some feedback before the weekend.

I hope you are feeling better soon.

Morning Jamy,
While I have had prolong nausea with migraines, if that has not been the norm for you, I agree with Liz and would give your doctor a call. It could be something else.

I'm sorry you're feeling so badly and for so long. Take care of yourself.

Welcome Jamy - good luck to you. Many of our members do have nausea for long periods - but as Liz & Cindy said, if this is unusual for you, best to check with your doctor. Hope to see you more around the forum. If you have a chance, post in the member introductions folder so we can get to know you a little.

Be sure to ask your doctor to prescribe something for the nausea, if that's what you'd like. Otherwise, the doc might not think of it. I have phenergan (promethazine), but others on the forum have something else.

I get pretty nauseated during prodrome & also during the pain part. However about a year and a half ago I was extremely nauseous all the time for several months, plus chest pain. My doctor thought it was probably due to migraines & heartburn. I couldn't sleep at night & constantly fell asleep during the day.

It ended up that I had 3 bleeding ulcers.

So it could be nothing or something else might be going on.
Good luck with your doctor.

Thank you for all your advice.
I went to the doctor on Friday and he said he thought I had a sinus infection causing all of my symptoms. Ive now been taking antibiotics and sudifed as well as promethazine for the nausea but I still feel like complete poop. The nausea will not stop and the headaches keep coming and going. If I dont feel better later today Im going to call him again. Crying
