I'm going nuts!!
The latest is sprouted wheat bread. And sprouts-had them yesterday on a sandwich and got horrible headache!! It just seems like whatever I put in my mouth gives me a headache. The good news is I'm losing weight like crazy. But the bad news is my hair is starting to fall out and that is not good!!! I have beautiful brown thick hair!!! If I do say so myself!! And don't want to lose it!! Wonder if that could be the Zonegran? That's all I'm on. I just started on Armour Thyroid though. Maybe I am allergic to wheat? WEIRD!!! The whole thing is just weird. I'm tired of not being able to eat anything! I'm going back to plain white bread and see if that helps. Or maybe it's the stress!!! Stress of having these dang migraines!!! and not being able to eat like a normal person! parisbabe |

Hello parisbabe,
I am new here, but I hope my answer may be useful (english not my mothertongue, please be patient) hair loss and weight loss may be related to your thyroid condition and/or the armour thyroid treatment adjustment. thyroid therapist first. It is more difficult to manage both migraine and thyroid problems. the article here may help: http://www.healthcentral.com/m...itions-195635-5.html sprouted wheat is a trigger for me too. but you do not want a diet too strict leading to vitamin deficiencies. I am out of work because of migraine, too. I understand. regards luc |

Good Morning,
I did a bit of checking on the Zonegran and I would call your pharmacy to see if the hair loss is a side effect. I didn't see it listed, but Webmd does say if the side effect isn't list to call your pharmacy. Having also had Thyroid problems, and was losing hair then, it could be related to that also. My hair was in horrid shape until my thryoid levels got straighted out. It took about 6 months. You might want to consider reading up on the elimination diet to help you know what you can and can't eat. It's boring as all get out, but it can help clearly identify food triggers. Also remember some triggers are stackable. Maybe Sprouted Wheat won't alway trigger you, but in combination with other things it will. Take care |

Thank you Luc for that article-it was very informative!
And yes, Cindy, I know about the elimination diet. I ate the Sprouted Wheat Bread this am just by itself and no headache, so it wasn't the bread. Must have been the alfalfa sprouts. My list of foods that trigger me is getting longer and longer. I needed to lose weight so this is my instant diet. But I worry about my health. Hopefully, the thryoid med will kick in soon & I will feel better. parisbabe |

It could also have been niether the bread NOR the sprouts. One Migraine doesn't really prove much.
