Fledgling |
Hello,
I know that pickles and other preserved foods are potential triggers due to the vinegar content and possibly due to perservatives, but are olives OK? I was trying to look into the curing process for them, but not sure I understand it. Has anyone had any experience with them as triggers? (I eat a lot of them and use olive juice on salads and in drinks, I'm wondering if these need to go...) Thanks, Monica |

I've seen olives mentioned frequently on lists of possible triggers. That said, just like anything else, mileage varies, and they don't trigger everyone. I have no trouble with them.

Hi Monica,
I love olives too! Thankfully, I don't trigger off of them, but, yes, they are listed as a food trigger in this article: Managing Migraine Trigger Foods Sorry! Laura Forum Moderator |

I would be so upset if Olives or pickles were a trigger for me!
More so over the olives. I love any type of olive, especially when in vodka! I can see how it would or could be a trigger though, since it's brine and salt and stuff.
