Migraine

Hello all! I wanted to give an update since my last post this summer. I had been experiencing a strange migraine that kept coming and going for several weeks. Mostly with bad aura, visual disturbances. That migriane spree started in late spring and I was getting one or two a week, then twice a week and so on until the big one. Before this summer, I was only getting on average two to three migraine episodes (sometimes a few together) a year.

I have been migraine free since that one ended in early September. The only remnant is that I still have a small spot in my left eye field of vision that sometimes almost goes away, but then will come back when I'm tired.

At the same time this migraine stopped, I had also stopped using Neutrogena Clean and Clear Bodywash with salicylic acid. I had been using it frequently for most of the summer for acne on my back and the time of the bad migraine I had been using it everyday.

It could be a coincidence, but I'm afraid to try it again. So I'm going to stear clear of it for now. Since I'm sensitive to so many things, I'm not going to rule it out.

Hmmmm, I wonder if it was the Clean and Clear? I use Sea Breeze Sensitive Skin for my face every morning but that has benzoic acid...not sure if that's the same thing or not? But you're right, why tempt fate?

It's possible you simply isolated an oddball, not obvious trigger. It can happen. I'm glad steering clear seems to be helping. I hope you continue to do better and better.
