Oh yeah.
The sunlight SO bothers me. It usually happens when a Migraine is lurking. I had the odd experience just last week of taking my early morning walk a little later than usual. As I walked in a sunny area, the head pain would start. I could feel my blood pressure rise and the throbbing start. Then, I would walk into dense shade and the throbbing would recede. It was too strange. I did NOT like it. I later had a full-blown Migraine but the in-&-out thing was the oddest reaction I've had yet....

I never thought to even check blood pressure and migraines to see if there is a difference when I have migraines and when I don't. I do have one but, Just always forget when I have a migraine with the lack of memory during that time. One of these days i'll remember!

Sunlight is a huge trigger for me. I never leave the house without sunglasses.
I have the windows of my car illegally tinted. I have a note from my MD on a script pad saying I have severe sensitivity to sunlight and require tinted windows. I checked with a friend who is state highway here in OH and he said if I have that note with me they cant give me a ticket.

Sunlight is one of my worst triggers. I even have multiple pairs of sunglasses for different situations.

If I currently have a bad Migraine, yes the sunlight makes it worse. Sunlight usually doesn't trigger it unless the light is intense or if I'm in the car. Flourescent lights, strobe lights & very bright incandescant light make me sick. Unfortunately, I am a teacher so bright, flickering indoor light is impossible to avoid.

Sunlight and all summer-related weather (heat, storms, mugginess) will lead to migraines, but flickering light or shadows caused by bright sun will trigger them. Sunglasses do no good at all for the flicker. One interesting thing about the sun is that I have a sense of when it's going to be too much. Of course, that means when I cancel plans with people based on how the sun is making me feel, they really think migraines are all in my mind. On my sun-avoidance days, I get a feeling of hotness from the sun that is unrelated to the temperature and then I get the migraine fog rather than my usual prodromal prolonged auras.

Sunlight is a definite trigger for me. When I am on the borderline of a migraine I wear sunglasses indoors sometimes at my home. We have a room that has lots of windows and 2 skylights in it. It is the only place we can put the computer unless I put it in the living room which my husband said NO WAY. But I do take sunglasses everywhere and sometimes when it is sort of overcast but there seems to be a glare is really bad too.

Strong sunlight, glare, flickering lights, fluorescent lights, yes! I've found "reading sunglasses that really help me - UVA/UVB-blocking, lightly tinted reading glasses at Dollar Tree,of all places.
My Optometrist works with me to keep my prescriptions up to date, & he was the one who told me to try going to Dollar Tree & getting a bunch of cheap reading glasses that work for me & leaving them everywhere.
So, I have probably a dozen pair scattered all over both houses (have I told y'all about renovating the house I inherited?), a pair in each vehicle, etc. Ditto with sunglasses of varying darknesses.
I even wear "light" sunglasses in early mornings and evenings because there is just enough glare to hurt.

PS: Both DH's and my computers are in our living room. Our only TV is in the family room. DH's computer is set up for cable TV. Kat & Sallie's computers are in their rooms, & Mary has her laptop wherever she is. Our house has wireless connections.

In my Room I do have a TV but when I have a migraine the light on the TV does bother me. And So I have to change the setting's so that its not so bright. On our family room TV I don't notice that their is a setting so that is when I need to go to my room to watch TV because its not as bright.

About that sunlight as a trigger thing--it was ultra dramatic for me this past week over the 4th of July. I went out walking in the morning AGAIN. I was out of town and in a different place. The heat and humidity along with the sunlight were causing the big M to be such a royal pain in the head! BUT as soon as I walked into the very dark, VERY cool lobby of the hotel we were staying in, the big, bad Migraine almost immediately subsided to a mild, tolerable level!! It was so dramatic that I was so surprised. The symptoms going away so fast was better than any drug I have ever taken. I wonder if walking into a dark freezer would have the same effect? Wink Wow, I may just stay at this same hotel from now on....

I said this on another page but sunlight definitely triggers my migraines. I have a huge window in my living room and on a very sunny day I have to pull the drapes so I won't be exposed to the sunlight. It will trigger my migraines instantly. That's why I got transition lenses for my glasses. I can't live like a hermit the rest of my life. I love the sun... it just doesn't love me. Yes
