Confused

I don't understand this fact that a trigger may cause a migraine attack days later. How long can a delay from trigger be? days? 5 days? 10 days?

I think it depends on the person and the trigger. When I discovered that non-alcoholic beer was a trigger, I had head pain before I finished the can.

With chocolate, it took a day or two, making it much harder to spot.

I'm sure others have different experiences, and Teri may have some research knowledge.

I believe it's anywhere from immediate to up to 48 hours.

Mine also vary - with chocolate it's within the hour, with feta or bleu cheese it's also within the hour. However, with barometric changes it's within 12 hours or so. It really depends -- and i'm sure even for people that trigger on the same things they have different time frames. interesting how individual it always is, huh?
