How do you remind yourself to stay on the right path on a day to day basis? What are way's that you can help support other's to do the same?

Edited by Joyce to make sence.

What exactly do you mean by "how do you remind yourself to stay healthy?" Is it meant to ask how do you keep yourself on the right path? (If so, it sure beats me! Embarrassed )

I think it's all about moderation, personally- to try and take it one thing at a time, and work on something that has a shot at improving health, or quality of life.

As for supporting each other, I think that's happening everywhere in this forum. We're all rooting for each other- and offering words of support, caring, and other words expressing our connection to each other...

Is this what you meant? I don't want to put words in your mouth (fingers?) ... so- feel free to say that I inferred something completely wrong from the question that you posed!

Best,
Jamie

Personally, telling myself to *stay healthy* is too broad. I figure out things that make me feel better, then try to do/use them every day. Walking. Logging off the computer. Cooking balanced, healthy meals. Having a couple of Fetch sessions with the dog. Calling a friend.

Those sound like really good "healthy things"

I really need to force myself to log off the computer more...I'm on it most of the day at work, and then I go home and either work on web stuff for another (volunteer) job that I do, or play computer games.

I love playing computer games, but again, it means that I'm on the computer... Even, if it means that I'm de-stressing, it's still a strain on my eyes, and means that I'm sitting on my couch, not moving, and obviously, not doing anything remotely healthy.

I need to start cooking more. Eating take-in, even if healthy food is consumed, is eating into my cash supply- and thus not mentally healthy when I have to pay bills...

Braindrain.
Yes, You are right to stay in the right path. I just wasn't thinking very clearly when I was typing the question and didn't know how to put it, and no you weren't putting words into my mouth. (finger's).

For instance. I was thinking Would setting daily goals, help you to stay on the right path? Having other people help you? Something like that.
