Today I start back at the gym. There's nothing like a heart defect to push you to make yourself better for the sake of living longer!

I gained 20 lbs this year on top of the 30 I needed to lose last year...And I gained it all because of stress; I'm an anxious eater. It feels very daunting. But now that I possibly have an implant in my heart, I want it to be healthy. No good in potentially destroying the work that happened 6 weeks ago.

Anyway, I will be on light treadmill duty with some light weight lifting...It will be a good test, to see if I have anymore exercise-induced migraines. It's a personal theory of mine, not tested or proven that I am aware of, that a PFO maybe, just maybe contributes to those exercise-induced migraines...

Soon I will start yoga.

Well, I did well today. I had no excess fatigue after working out, and my heart rate was actually different than prior visits to the gym. I actually felt energized after the workout, instead of incredibly hungry and tired.

I did arm exercises with free weights and used the machines for my legs. Currently they are cramping badly, even though I did stretches...So soon I am going to break out the heating pad for them!

I didn't have a murmur from my head until I was at work tonight. I really think the lights at work are contributing to many of my migraines. But, I am also at the end of my cycle so I don't know which is triggering then yet. I'll give it a few days, but they seem to strike around 7PM every evening when I am there. I thought about it today...if so many places use fluorescents, even leaving this job I may trade it for a place that still will have them. I don't know...I like my job for the most part.

Anyway, I made it from the gym with some positive vibes from the experience, so I only pray for the endurance and willpower to keep at it. So I am rambling, don't worry, I'm posting here so maybe it'll serve as a reminder to keep with it.

So, how are your visits to the gym going? I had all the intentions of going but with so many migraines, I can't right now. However, I asked Santa for some dumbells. Other than the kids, just kidding!!!
