Or websites?

I'd like to include a little of one or the other with my walking every other day or so.

My sleep habits are lousy so I am trying to naturally remedy it since I can't go on any new meds. I forced myself up earlier today so that I could walk and I actually went outside this time. It's warm!

Anyway, if anyone has any hints drop them here. I won't have any time this week probably but I'll have plenty of it coming up after "surgery".

Thanks!

Leeloo,

I don't have any suggestions on books or websites. But, I do recommend the 10 Minute Solutions Series on dvd.

I have the ab one and the pilates one.

There are 5 10-minute workouts on each dvd. On the pilates:
1. abs
2. butt and legs
3. arms
4. fat burning
5. flexibility

I highly recommend it.

Hi Leeloo

I'm not familiar with books or websites, but I do have a set of DVDs that I really like. It's Winsor pilates. I bought it several years ago,. and still use it.

My favorite part of it is the 20 minute pilates workout. There is also an instructional section and an advanced workout. (I rarely get to the advanced part.)

One reason that I like pilates is that you only do each exercise 5-10 times. Even if you dislike one of the exercises, you only have to do it a few times before you move onto something else.

I did purchase a yoga video, but I don't really like that. I can't even remember the name of it.

Hi LeeLoo,

I just purchased a set of Yoga DVD's off of Amazon. It's called Yoga Zone-Beginners Boxed Set. The first dvd is called Introduction to Yoga-Beginners. I just did it for the 1st time last night. I must say, even though yoga isn't as easy as you might think, this dvd was great and easy to follow. You can find it here http://www.amazon.com/Yoga-Zone-Beginners-Boxed-Set/dp/6305661731 and you can even read reviews.

Good Luck,

Sandi

Leeloo, you might look into some relaxation exercises as a way to help your sleep. I was very skeptical about this as a way to help my insomnia, but it has actually helped me a lot. I won't give it all the credit - acupuncture helped my sleep get back on track - but the relaxation exercise I do before bed has kept me there, at least most of the time.

The biofeedback therapist I saw last fall has a number of CDs and supplementary materials out, which are available on amazon.com. Her website is HERE.

Hope this helps!

Leeloo,

Along with MigraineMom, I like the 10 Minute Solution: Pilates DVD. The 'flexability' one is especially calming.

I just got the 10 Minute Solution: Yoga DVD. But I haven't actually used it yet. I'm stuck-on the pilates one.

What I do like for Yoga is a book I have Healing Therapies for Headache Relief: Yoga Therapy by Peter Van Houten and Rich McCord you can see more info on it HERE.
It has been really helpful for me.

Thanks, Kelly. I just ordered it. I was previously looking for yoga instruction that targeted migraine/headache sufferers, but never saw this book. I can't wait to get it.

Blessings,

Sandi
