The Cube Shield

I have worked with this developer for 3 or 4 years. Somehow it has NEVER come out that he has migraines periodically. Not often. But he has one today. I asked what he takes. Exerdirin. I wanted to hurt him, but he was already in pain. I suggested since they are infrequent he try one of the abortives. That of course would require he go to the doctor which he doesn't like to do......I'll work on him.

What did come out of the conversation was this cube shield to block light. His cube is in an area of high light intensity that with so many people in the area, he cannot control it like I can. But of friend of his uses this item on the link. I don't know how many offices would allow this to be used, but I thought I would put it out there.

That is totally awesome!!!!

I just wish my "cube" was set up the way that cube was. I sit against the straight part - so the corners at at both sides instead of in front of me.

Probably means I'd need two of them, huh?

WHERE WAS THIS WHEN I WAS WORKING???

Man, I would have lasted at least some longer I'll bet. I'm gonna email this to a couple of my co-workers who are suffering.

I'm sorry Excedrin doesn't seem to be working for him. Never worked for me but there was a time when aspirin and a Coke did wonders.

How cool is that!! I hope MJ sees this - don't know if she's in a cube, but I know the lights at work are a big problem.

This is pretty cool, you guys are right! I did manage to get the lights over my cube turned off though, and that has been a *big* help. My employer has been very accommodating for me, all things considered.

Maybe I should just get a whole bunch of these and make a fort. Or a big hat to wear in the conference rooms. Razzer

I have to confess something about these. My friend at work who showed them to me said his friend who uses them is really trying to make a cave. He'd live in a cave if he could and never come out. Has nothing to do with migraines or any thing like that!!

PS Playing fort when we were kids was fun MJ, it might make work more fun!!

My coworkers would think it was pretty funny - I still haven't posted the photo of me with the crazy contacts I tried out a couple of weeks ago (computer problems, ugh), but after that I'm not sure I can do much that will surprise them. Wink
