We bought our sons a Wii for Christmas and I have been thinking about getting the wii fit. For those of you who have used it....how noisy is it? I watched a video on amazon and there is a bing noise with pushups etc. I assume you can turn the sound off but just in general what is the noise level like? I have yoga tapes that I can do with a migraine but I like controlling noise.
And do you have the extr 5in1 fitness bundle or just the basic wii fit? Also, I know it has your BMI levels and I assume it can weigh you but does it do fat ratio? I thought that needed to be included for you BMI. Thanks for help and bringing the topic up! lisa |

The Wii fit is as loud as you make your TV. I stay with the aerobics and yoga and they are both quiet.
The sound does help you stay in sync with the "Miis" - little Wii people that proliferate the Wii world. It can weigh you but no fat ratio. Deb [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/] |

one more question....the criticism I have read re:yoga is that you have to go back to the menu to get to the next position and therefore it doesn't flow like an exercise dvd would. is the aerobics like this too. One review said it takes twice as long as it should because you have to keep going back to the menu. Is it like this for the aerobics part too?
Repeating myself but Deb there isn't a "bing" everytime you do a rep? thanks again, lisa |

Hi Lisa,
You do have to go back to the menu for the next exercise but it only takes a few seconds to hit the back button so I don't find it that time consuming at all. In fact, for me, it's an opportunity to catch my breath and take a sip of water. As far as the bing, I haven't done the strength training very often so I'm reaching into my memory here (scary!) but there is a tiny bing sound for each rep to help keep you in time with your trainer. This way you can focus on the exercise and not have to constantly look at the television to see what point the trainer is at. Honestly, I barely noticed the bing. I hope that helped. Thanks Laura, yes that helped. We still are deciding to purchase the Wii but thanks for the input. I doublt I would be doing the strength training, with the "bing", while I was migraining anyway, was looking more at the yoga option.
As always, gratefully, lisa |
