Hello, I am happy to have found this forum. I have had migraine since I was about 9 or 10 (hard to remember). I wasn't diagnosed until I was 24 (I was lucky to have a GP who has migraine). Currently, they are minimized with Topamax. (I am one of the lucky few who has very few side effects). I'm married to a man whose mother also has migraine so he is very understanding. I am 39, a student, will be starting nursing in Spring and am moving to be close to family in June. I also have two children and unfortunately, my daughter has started having headaches.

It's nice to have this forum. It's always good to be able to chat with those who understand.

Kristi,

-:¦:-•:*'*:•.-:¦:-•*Hello!*•-:¦:-•:*'''*:•-:¦:-•*Welcome!*•-:¦:-

Do you think your daughter is having headaches or Migraines? How old is she? Many of us started having Migraines quite young. I was six. My granddaughter was 2-1/2.

Please let us know if we can help you with anything particular.

Welcome again!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

As far as my daughter, right now we suspect they are strictly allergy related. I hope so, because she is the same age I was when mine started. We are keeping a diary of when she has them, pollen count, etc. She has bad seasonal allergies.

EileenHost: Thanks. I like the name too. I am really into my Scottish heritage.

Anyway, thanks again for the welcome.

Kristi, I don't know if you've seen this article before, but sinus headaches are actually quite rare, and not usually related to allergies but to sinus infections.

Sinus Headache or Migraine?

I do hope for your daughter's sake that the headaches are just related to her allergies, but you may want to have her checked out by a doctor if you haven't already, especially since you have migraine in your family.
