Greetings from Texas!
I have a 17 year old daughter who has been dealing with migraines for 1 1/2 years. We are now on our 3rd neurologist and may be moving to Dr. K in Dallas next unless things change quickly. We have had blood work done, CAT scan done, see a chiropractor 4 days a week and she now has a massage done once a week. I feel like if we listed her meds we would be here all day. She has done several preventatives and abortives. She has been in the hospital twice. The first experience made her quite sick but broke the headache. The second trip, with another specialist, didn't make her as sick but did not break the headache. We look forward to chatting and visiting with many of you. Right now, this is my life line. I have a tremendous husband who cries and prays with me over her and reads any comments on this forum that I find interesting. I know that God doesn't give us more than we can handle but right now I find myself pretty weepy most of the time. We look forward to chatting. |

Welcome Lovemykids.
We have two folders that might help you better - a children and migraines folder and a folder for spouses and family members of those with migraines. Let us know if you decide to see Dr. Kruz, some here already do. Deb [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/] |

Hi lovemykids
I did welcome you in another folder, but I wanted to add a little more here. My son has been going through a similar problem with his migraines for about a year and a half. He is now 14. We have been to several doctors and several drugs and are still fighting this. We tried massage, chiropractic, and acupuncture. We will be trying a new preventative in the next 2 weeks. You are not alone here. I'm weepy a lot of the time too. Hang in there!! I just keep telling myself it has to get better. You're doing everything you can right now. Welcome again. Jean Ann |

Hi Lovemykids,
Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!!! I'm so glad you found this site. I'm so glad I found this site. I know what you mean about God not giving us more than we can handle, and I believe this to be true. But it sure can be hard to remember that when we are in so much pain (whether it be from a migraine or watching a loved one suffer). You are so fortunate to have a husband who prays with you and is involved. I will be praying for you, too. Blessings, ~Sandi~ |

Hello and welcome!
I'm so sorry about your daughter's Migraines. With two granddaughters and a grandson with Migraines, I can imagine how you must feel. I'd rather have a Migraine myself than for the little ones to have one. Please, kick your shoes off and make yourself at home. Let us know if there's specific information we can find for you. Oh, and don't worry about being weepy around here. We'll be right here for you and glad to send you a virtual tissue along with a hug. Welcome again! ![]() Teri Robert Lead Expert, MyMigraineConnection terimmc@helpforheadaches.com
