Hi I am a 32 year old mother with an 11 year old who suffers from migraines with aura. Her pedatrician thinks she has been having them for years but have just been diagnosed with this 2 years ago. We have been to a neuro he has met with her twice in 2 years and asked a couple questions, thats it. no medical test. Is this normal?

I just welcomed you and commented on why no MRI or CT scans in the thread you have in the General Knowledge folder. In general, the same thing I mentioned there holds true for other kinds of testing as well. Migraine simply doesn't tend to show up on tests of any ilk. It's diagnosed through observation of symptoms and case history. That's why the doctors probably are hesitating on running tests.
